Inver House, Isle of Jura

This 19th Century hunting lodge had been extended in an organic way to suit the varying needs of different occupiers throughout its life. The Client approached Harford-Cross Architects in order for us to recommend an approach to restore the lodge and re-appraise the condition and functions of the various other structures. We have adopted an approach which aims to retain the current historic qualities of the buildings on the site but also creates a single, coherent, detached dwelling. This includes restoration work, demolition and new extensions. Fabric improvements. will radically improve the sustainability of the site. We have been working with the Client through the design, planning and technical stages over 2023 and will be starting building work in 2024.
